My night time skin care routine…

THE NEW YOU (8)

As you've probably worked out already, I live for good a skincare regime! We all know that a good skincare routine is optimum to achieve a flawless base for your makeup because you just can't cover up bad skin forever. You see the thing about makeup is, while it is amazing and an absolute art form, it isn't the best thing to be going straight on your skin daily. However having a good nightly skincare routine to remove all the slap, lets us gals and guys beat our face to our hearts content without worrying about waking up with a huge planet on your face or a painful stye on your eyelid.
So I'm gonna talk you guys through my personal nightly routine before I snuggle up in bed and maybe you guys can get a lil bit of inspo. Comment below if you do the same or do things a little differently with other products.

So I begin my routine by applying 2 or 3 pumps of Primark's Cleanse Off Oil on a large cotton pad and swiping over my face to dissolve my makeup. Just a few strokes completely melts all of my base, brows and even my eye makeup; I'm talking full face, smokey eye, matte lipstick, the lot. All gone. And the best part is that it is only £2. That beats Burt's Bees Facial Cleansing Oil at £16.99, which is good but I'd rather save my pennies and virtually buy the same product.
I can't just leave it at that because my skin is combination to oily and if i was to leave it at the oil, I'd be an oily hot mess! So what I do after that is soak a cotton pad in Garnier Combination & Sensitive Skin Micellar Water and remove the remnants of the cleansing oil.
I usually then love to take a warm shower before bed. I don't like to wash my hair everyday but I like to just feel clean and refreshed going to bed, so I tie back my hair and jump on in. I love to use the Soap and Glory Fab Pore Purifying Foam Cleanser to completely strip all the dirt and oils from my pores as well as leaving my them visibly smaller and my skin tighter. Perfect combo! After getting out, I ensure not to rub my face with the towel and aggravate my skin; I pat my face with my Egyptian cotton towel (I know, fancy!). After that, I use Primark's Skin Tonic (I'm living for Primark's skincare range!) and proceed to apply a thick layer of moisturiser. Now the moisturiser I used to reach for every night was the Garnier's Moisture Bomb Night Cream, which is more of a gel-like consistency rather than a cream, and it completely hydrated my face over night, however lately I've switched to Garnier's SkinActive Rose Moisturiser. While this isn't marketed as a night cream, it is so thick and just melts into my skin. It covers all my dry patches, soothing any sensitive areas that I have and the active ingredient, rose water, is to thank for that!

After all of that work, I jump into bed and snuggle up with my babies to get a good night sleep… Well, as good as I can get with a hyper cat, a twitching boyfriend and a touch of insomnia 🙄
