Let’s talk: liquid lipsticks…

I am an absolute sucker for matte anything but hand me a matte liquid lipstick and I just fall in love. I have such a huge stash of lipsticks and my collection is literally dominated with matte formulas so you know ya girl had to show you my faves.

First up we have the legendary NYX Lip Lingerie liquid lipsticks. These products became so popular with nearly every girl when they launched and when my local Boots store set up a NYX stand, you know I had to get my hands on a few of them. I will admit that the formula of these isn’t my favourite as it is a little sticky at first but when it drys down it is a gives a beautiful matte finish that isn’t completely drying and I just adore the shades they come in.

When Sleek released their Matte Me lip creams, I swear the entire British public went crazy for them; they were constantly sold out in every drugstore. They were once hailed the best dupe for Kylie Cosmetics Lip Kits and while the two brands have visually similar colours, the formulas are completely different. Nonetheless, these liquid lipsticks live up to their description of being ‘ultra smooth’ and these are a must have for any matte lipstick lover like myself.

When Barry M released their Matte Me Up liquid lip paints and lip-kits earlier this year I just had to buy one to try out and let me tell you; these are incredible! I have only got one of them but will, without a doubt, be buying more because I adore them. I think these are a really good drugstore equivalent to higher end liquid lipsticks. The formula is incredible, the colour selection is amazing and the staying-power is just second to none! At £6.99 for a liquid lipstick AND a creamy lip liner, you need these in your life!

Okay, so how was I not going to include something from Primark’s beauty range because come on, if you’ve read any of my previous posts you’ll know that I’m a teeny bit obsessed. Their lip kits are no exception from this obsession because these are definitely up there with some of my favourite from the range. Despite the colour being completely different to that of the packaging, the shades are beautiful and so easy to wear on the lips.

Now I couldn’t do a post about matte liquid lipsticks without including the much sought after holy grail product that is the Kylie lipkit. Because of the price of these products I really want to hate it but seriously this is just wow. I love everything about these, the shades, the bomb ass formula and ugh even the smell of it is just beautiful. If you’re looking for a high-end product that really is as good as everyone says then this is it! It pains me to say it but they are well worth the money!
